We at St Andrew's believe many things. Perhaps our community of faith is
best described as a place where we encourage you to explore what you
believe.
The United Church of Canada has a long history of being inclusive of many
perspectives and viewpoints regarding faith and spirituality. While our
National Church makes decisions and sets policy, it is the responsibility of
each individual church to decide upon their particular focus.
Our community tends to embody an orthodox,
Christ-centered approach to our ministry. But the people of St Andrew's bring many
faith perspectives to
our community of faith. You are warmly invited to help us grow in our faith
by bringing your perspectives and questions. Our study groups are an excellent way to explore and deepen your faith. The ministers are
always available to discuss faith issues and questions.
A NEW CREED
We are not alone,
we live in God's world.
We believe in God:
who has created and is creating,
who has come in Jesus,
the Word made flesh,
to reconcile and make new,
who works in us and others
by the Spirit.
We trust in God.
We are called to be the Church:
to celebrate God's presence,
to live with respect in Creation,
to love and serve others,
to seek justice and resist evil,
to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen,
our judge and our hope.
In life, in death, in life beyond death,
God is with us.
We are not alone.
Thanks be to God.
