BEL CANTO CHOIR SCHOOL
The Bel Canto Choice School is committed to helping young singers develop their natural talents. Choristers will explore how the joyful experience of making music together can enrich their lives. Our team is made up of experienced musicians who will lead interactive rehearsals focussing on musicianship, performance skills, musical knowledge and having fun. We start teaching basic music principles with our newest choristers and continue this education with the more experienced choristers.

Welcome to a barrier-free redesign of the 21st century church choir school for children in the community. Unique to Chatham-Kent is that it will be the only program of its type by complimenting St. Andrew’s already vibrant music program.
Using the talents and skills of the program staff to allow students to see what might be possible in their life is a role that music can play. It allows them to break into a new world and moreover share both their “gifts” with the world.
As a statement of our commitment to creating an inclusive choral experience that is accessible to all there is no cost for participants. St. Andrew’s current musical ecosystem will play a key role. Due to the strength of the adult music ensembles (Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir), and the Choral Scholar Program, it also offers many other unique opportunities for intergenerational collaborations and support to further make this program a community gem.
